Humanity3.com is a web startup committed to using social technology to help advance humanity forward. We’re currently working on launching our flagship product UNSTASH is a peer-to-peer platform for collaborative consumption designed to cultivate more connected communities for a more sustainable planet.

Right now we have funding for an 8-12 week term for a university student.  Opportunities may grow as the project progresses.  Below are 3 different developer opportunities – all of which will also include technical and entrepreneurial mentorship.

Backend web developer

- Experience with Ruby on Rails web application framework
- Abillity to quickly learn and work with 3rd party API’s, collaboration tools, and the latest web technologies
- Familiarity with the Facebook Platform/Connect would be an asset

Frontend web designer / developer

- UX/UI design experience – ability to translate PSD’s to CSS3/HTML5
- Work with and create original designs and eye-candy – typography, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
- jQuery/Javascript/AJAX would be highly valuable

Mobile Developer

- Experience with developing mobile apps on Android, iOS, or Windows Phone 7, using our in-house API.
- You will provide feedback and be a part of the API design team.
- Knowledge of XML, HTTP, and web services (specifically REST) is a necessity.

Communicators 

On the non-technical front we are looking for writers and artists across the spectrum who could help us further communicate and educate more people about the value of collaborative consumption, creative and sustainability

 Community Developers

If you’re on the ground as a community developer – whether it’s via a local neighborhood, online, or an association of like-minded people – and ‘get’ how the sharing of ‘things’ is often a gateway towards the sharing of our very lives – we’d love to have you on board.
